Original Glue (GG4) strain guide
It used to be called Gorilla Glue #4, and it stuck to everything. Here is the story behind the name change and why it is still a heavyweight.
The year the strain was renamed after a lawsuit over the name.
Sticky by name, sticky by nature
Original Glue, also known as GG4, is a hybrid bred by GG Strains in Las Vegas. It is a cross of Chem's Sister and Sour Dubb, with Chocolate Diesel in some accounts.
The original name came from how sticky it was. Growers said the resin glued their trimming scissors together.
From Gorilla Glue to GG4
The strain blew up as Gorilla Glue #4 and won a string of cannabis cups. Then the company behind the adhesive took the breeders to court over the name. The case settled in 2017, and the strain became GG4, now often sold as Original Glue.
